Your wedding day passes in a blur. The photographs are how you get to live it again: the nervous laugh before the first look, your grandmother dancing, the way the light fell across the ocean as you said your vows. My work is to capture all of it with artistry, honesty, and calm, so you can stay fully present with the people you love.

I am Sam Fawaz, a San Diego wedding photographer with two decades behind the camera and a background in fashion, commercial, and portrait photography. Every wedding I accept, I photograph personally, and I book only one wedding per day.

Between portraits, I step back and photograph the day as it unfolds, quietly and without interruption. The real moments are often the ones you will treasure most.

San Diego light can be gorgeous or harsh depending on the hour. I build your timeline around golden hour and know how to make bright coastal sun, open shade, and candlelit receptions all work beautifully.

Before the Wedding

We start with a conversation about your vision, your families, and the details that matter. Closer to the date, I help shape a photography timeline so nothing feels rushed and every important portrait is planned.

On the Day

Getting ready, the first look, the ceremony, family and wedding party portraits, couple portraits at golden hour, and the celebration that follows. I keep family photos efficient so you can get back to your guests.

After the Wedding

Every image is carefully hand-edited. Your complete private online gallery is typically delivered within two weeks, with full personal usage rights to download and share.
