Booking and Planning

Will you personally photograph our wedding?

Yes. Every wedding is photographed by me, Sam Fawaz. No associates and no surprises. I book only one wedding per day, so your date is yours alone.

How far in advance should we book?

Popular San Diego dates, especially spring and fall weekends, often book many months ahead. The best time to reach out is as soon as your date and venue are set.

How do we check availability and pricing?

Email me your date and venue. I will reply personally with availability and a collection guide tailored to your celebration, and we will set up a call to talk about your day.

Do you help with the wedding day timeline?

Yes. I help shape a photography timeline built around the best light, with enough breathing room that nothing feels rushed and every important portrait is planned.

On the Wedding Day

We are camera-shy. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Most couples feel that way at first. I guide you gently with simple, natural direction, and many of the best images happen once you forget the camera is there.

How do you handle family photos?

We plan a short list of family groupings in advance, and I keep that part of the day efficient and organized so you can get back to your guests quickly.

What happens if it is cloudy or rainy?

Overcast skies and the coastal marine layer actually create soft, flattering light. If rain arrives, I will find covered spots and work with your venue so you still get beautiful portraits.

Do you photograph all couples?

Absolutely. Every couple is welcome, and every love story deserves to be told beautifully.

After the Wedding

When will we receive our photographs?

Your complete, carefully hand-edited private online gallery is typically delivered within two weeks of your wedding.

Do we receive the rights to our images?

Yes. You receive full personal usage rights, so you can download, share, and enjoy your photographs however you like.

Other Services

Do you photograph elopements and intimate weddings?

Yes, and I love them. From cliffside vows in La Jolla to a mountain ceremony in Julian, small celebrations receive the same care and artistry.

Do you offer engagement sessions?

Yes. Engagement sessions can be booked on their own or added to any wedding collection.

Do you offer portrait sessions?

Yes. Couples, family, maternity, and professional headshot sessions are available on request throughout San Diego County.

Do you travel?

I photograph weddings throughout San Diego County and Southern California, and I am available for destination weddings.
